As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be accountable for the overall success and proficiency of the QA area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and direct day to day operations and persons of the Quality Assurance team and efforts
- Acts as a leader in development team enforcing Quality Assurance standards and best practices
- Develops structured manual test cases for new and existing features for web-based software
- Repairs and updates existing automated and manual regression test cases as needed
- Performs testing activities on completed development tasks during sprint cycles
- Recognizes areas of risk in test coverage and propose solutions
- Identifies and prioritizes the development of high-value test cases when time is limited
- Reproduces and isolates escalated issues and develops new test coverage when applicable
- Executes manual and automated regression test cases as needed
- Creates accurate bug descriptions in Team Foundation Server
- Reviews and addresses QA related issues reported by offshore team members
- Creates and reports metrics producing as required
- Attends team meetings and contributes as needed to improve platform quality
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications
- Effectively manage multi person team of QA personnel
- Comfortable working within a team using Agile and SCRUM methodologies
- Skilled in contributing to and implementing product test strategy
- Effective skills in designing manual regression test cases and suites
- Ability to triage test failures and reproduce defects with limited information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter capable of performing duties with minimal oversight
- Must be comfortable choosing priorities when presented with multiple challenges
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of automated test methodologies and tools
- Experience working with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar solutions
- Experience in developing test cases in Microsoft Test Manager or similar
- Understanding of source control and branch management strategies
- Prior experience working with .NET technologies
